Tottenham Hotspur’s billionaire owner, Joe Louis, has been charged with insider trading by U.S. authorities, the British publication The Sun reported on Sept. 26.

Lewis, 86, is a self-made billionaire who was born in London but has spent most of his life abroad, according to The Sun.

His estimated wealth is £4.3 billion, according to the Forbes rich list.

“We have alleged that Lewis abused his access to corporate boardrooms for years and repeatedly provided inside information to lovers, personal assistants, private pilots, and friends,” The Sun quoted U.S. Attorney Damien Williams as saying.토토사이트

“The people who got that information from him made millions of dollars in the stock market on that information,” Williams said. They made millions of dollars in the stock market on that information.”

“Mr. Lewis is a wealthy man. But he used the inside information to reward employees and give gifts to friends and lovers. That’s classic corporate corruption. It’s cheating and it’s against the law. The law applies to everyone.”

“Lewis rarely visits the Tottenham Hotspur stadium to cheer on Harry Kane and his teammates and prefers life on a superyacht in the Caribbean to traveling to North London,” said The Sun. “He lives primarily in the Bahamas on a £112 million boat, has a home next to Sean Connery’s former estate and is friends with Tiger Woods.”
