The New York Knicks are heading into the second round of the playoffs.
According to 『RealGM.com』, New York’s Julius Randle (Forward-Center, 203cm, 113kg) and Quinton Grimes (Guard, 196cm, 95kg) have not been decided for the first leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Randall has a bad left ankle. He injured his ankle in Game 5 of the first round of the last playoffs, and did not play the rest of the time. He was diagnosed with an ankle sprain. He injured the same area at the end of the regular season and missed his final schedule. Accordingly, New York is also taking a careful approach to Randall’s ㅋㅋㅋ벳business trip decision.
Grimes has injured his left shoulder. He underwent a thorough examination, but it was confirmed that there were no serious injuries. He is expected to be able to play in the first leg of the second round of the playoffs against the Miami Heat, which is scheduled to take place on the 1st (hereinafter Korean time).
Currently, both Randall and Grimes are classified as injured on the day, so they are expected to be able to play unless something big happens. If both hit the court at their full potential, New York could play well enough against Miami. Miami is plagued by injuries and is not at full strength.
Randle recorded 14.4 points (.338 .235 .700), 6.4 rebounds and 3 assists in 28.6 minutes per game in 5 games in the first round of the last playoffs. His overall performance fell short of the regular season. Since the beginning of the series, he has suffered from hunting attacks. In his first two games, he averaged over 20 points and was centered.
Grimes only played three games in the first round due to an injury. He started as a starter without fail, but suffered a shoulder injury in the third round of the last round. In the three games prior to his injury, he averaged 3.7 points (.182 .111 .857), 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 20.8 minutes.
Meanwhile, New York has shown an advantage over Miami this season with 3 wins and 1 loss in 4 games. All four games were within 10 points, and both games won by New York were sweaty wins by two points. But Miami is plagued by injuries. Tyler Hiro and Victor Oladipo won’t be playing in the upcoming series.
