“To unmask UFO, reveal classified material”

A US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) task force set up to uncover the identity of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) has called for the release of footage taken by military agencies, saying it needs quality data for its research.

NASA made the announcement on 31 March (local time) after holding a meeting to deliberate on the preliminary findings of the UFO expert TF team ahead of the release of its report this summer. NASA formed the 16-member task force last year to study UFOs먹튀검증.

“Our purpose is not to figure out the nature of UFOs, but to provide a roadmap for NASA to analyse them, and for that we need high-quality data,” said Princeton University professor David Spurgill, who chaired the group.

The Pentagon has investigated more than 800 UFO cases over the past 27 years, but about 5 per cent remain unsolved. However, much of the Pentagon’s UFO-related data is classified, limiting researchers’ access to it.

“The UFO data available to us is of such a low quality that characterisation is not possible,” says Spurgell, “and we need to collect data through thorough classification and analysis.”

Research is also hampered by conspiracy theories surrounding UFOs. While the US Department of Defence encourages US military pilots to actively report UFO-related incidents, civilian pilots are reluctant to do so for fear of being judged.

“There’s also a lot of criticism of the researchers online,” Spurgill said, “and that’s one of the things that makes our work difficult.”

The researchers emphasise the need to involve private companies and citizens in UFO research. The data collected by private companies’ satellites can be used by researchers, and the resolution is high enough to provide high-quality research data. They also explained that it is necessary to develop reliable applications (apps) so that citizens can utilise the data from various regions.

The researchers will release their first report in July this year and suggest ways to improve the research environment for UFOs. The goal is to provide a scientific analysis of the conspiracy theories that have emerged due to the government’s passive response to UFO-related issues.
